If your business has registered a trademark, that trademark is publicly available for review on the database of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). You may receive what appears to be an official invoice concerning your mark. See the attached real-world example.

These are generally NOT invoices from the USPTO which you must pay. Rather than are typically solicitations from private entities, which merely promise to do things like “enter your mark into a database.” However, these documents are carefully designed to lead you into believing that you have to pay the amount reflected. Do not fall prey to these attempts. You may receive similar types of solicitations concerning your domain names. If you have any doubts, please contact us.
